
Liberty To Host Shock In Game One Of Eastern Conference Finals On Friday

NEW YORK, NY [September 23, 2008] - The New York Liberty announced today that Game One of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Detroit Shock will be played on Friday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.
With the win over the Connecticut Sun on Monday evening, New York advanced to the Conference Finals for the fifth time in its ninth post-season campaign.
Friday's game matches the No. 3 seeded Liberty against the No. 1 seeded Shock for the third time in WNBA Playoff history. The second game of the series will be played on Detroit's home court on Sunday, September 28 at 3:00 p.m. and will be aired on ESPN2. If a third game is necessary, it will be played on Monday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN2.
