
Liberty Eclipse 100 Points in Consecutive Games for First Time in Franchise History with 102-93 Win over Dallas

On Sunday, the New York Liberty (6-2) defeated the Dallas Wings (5-4), 102-93,in the first game of their 2023 three-game season series.
At Barclays Center, the Liberty finished on 55.7% (39-70) shooting from the field, 46.4% (13-28) from three, and 78.6% (11-14) at the free throw line.
This afternoon, the Liberty eclipsed 100 points in consecutive games for the first time in franchise history.
New York scored a season-high 34 points in the third quarter. The Liberty finished with a season-high 31 assists, tying the franchise record for the fourth-most assists in a single game.

New York finished with five double-digit scorers in tonight's game (Stewart, Ionescu, Vandersloot, Johannès, Laney).
Highlighted by an 11-point third quarter, Breanna Stewart finished with a game-high 32 points on 75% (15-20) from the field, including 50% (2-4) from three, nine rebounds, five assists, and three blocks. Her 32-point performance marked not only her second 30-point game of the season but also the second time in WNBA history that a player dropped 30-plus points on 20 field goal attempts or less without attempting a free throw (Elena Della Donne, July 30, 2019).
Sabrina Ionescu totaled 22 points on 43.8% (7-16) shooting from the field, including 37.5% (3-8) from three, six rebounds, and six assists. Her 13 third-quarter points combined with the 10 points created off her four third-quarter assists accounted for 67.6% of New York's season-high 34 third-quarter points. Combined with her 37-point performance last game, this is the fourth time in Ionescu's career with back-to-back games of 20-plus points.
Courtney Vandersloot finished with 15 points on 50% (6-12) shooting from the floor and a game-high 10 assists -- her third double-double of the season.
Marine Johannès added 12 points on 50% (4-8) shooting from the field, including 50% (4-8) from three, and three assists.
Betnijah Laney finished with 10 points on 60% (3-5) shooting from the floor, including 66.7% (2-3) from three, five rebounds, and four assists.
For Dallas, Arike Ogunbowale finished with 25 points, seven assists, and six rebounds, while Satou Sabally added 17 points and 11 rebounds.
