After their final day off of the regular season, the first-place IronPigs (75-51) play the opener of a three-game, road series against the Syracuse Chiefs (55-71) at NBT Bank Stadium -- where they are 4-1 this season... With a 15-6 loss in 10 innings to Indianapolis on Sunday, the Pigs have lost back-to-back games and to split the home series with the Indians and finish 3-4 on the seven-game homestand. With Scranton/WB falling to Norfolk on Sunday, the Pigs' Magic Number to clinch their first-ever North Division was trimmed to six. Lehigh Valley, which is just 5-8 in its last 13 affairs, still owns a 46-26 record since June 3 -- going from 0.5 games back to 9.0 games ahead... The Chiefs -- Washington's top affiliate -- won 5-3 in 10 innings at Columbus on Sunday to force a split of the four-tame series at Huntington Park and finish 4-3 on the West-division road trip. The Chiefs, who have won back-to-back games, are 13-8 since last at their season low-water mark of 42-63 on July 28.

RHP Drew Anderson (8-4, 3.80) will start for LHV against RHP Phillips Valdez (5-7, 2.73).
