Lexington Sporting Club reached a 1-1 draw with Greenville Triumph SC at Toyota Stadium.

The draw brings the club's record to 7-11-7 (28 points), remaining in 9th in the league standings. The result also saw Greenville improve to 10-8-7 (37 points), taking 5th in the league.

Lexington SC entered the match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Richmond Kickers at Toyota Stadium, which marked the third win in four matches for the club.

Lexington kicked off the second of three matches the clubs will have against each other fast and aggressive, with Ates Diouf quickly putting up two shots.

Despite the effort, Lexington SC was unable to find the net in the first half with both sides entering the break 0-0.

The home side came out fast and aggressive in the second half, picking up right where it left off with last week's strong start to the second half, a point of emphasis for the club after prior struggles.

The effort was successful as Tate Robertson scored a beauty of a goal in the 49th minute on a set piece play. The assist was given to Terique Mohammed for the effort.

The goal was Robertson's fourth of the season while the assist marked Terique's third of the season after his two-assist effort on July 22 in a 3-0 win over Union Omaha.

The home side held strong for the entirety of regulation until the fourth official signaled for seven minutes of added time.

Lexington SC fought to maintain the lead but disaster struck just seconds before the official full-time whistle when the visitors found their equalizer in the 90+8th minute. The match finished in a 1-1 draw.

Greenville controlled the possession in the match, holding the ball 52.9% of the time while also winning in expected goals, seeing a 1.97 to 0.41 advantage.

Next up for Lexington SC the boys in green will have a two-match road stint against NC Hailstorm FC and CV Fuego FC before returning home on September 17 against Charlotte Independence.
