Lexington County Blowfish News Release
The Lexington County Blowfish will honor the Lady Wildcats State Champion Softball team in a unique way on Opening Night.
Two-time All State pitcher, and University of Arkansas commit, Allie Light will pitch against a Blowfish hitter during the game!
Allie was one of the major reasons that the Lexington Wildcats brought home their first state title since 2001. The Blowfish hitter, yet to be determined, will look to do what so many across the state have been unable to do...And that is to make solid contact against Allie Light.
Catching for Allie will be her all state catcher and teammate Sara Gordon.
"This is an amazing opportunity to see something unique," Blowfish General Manager Theo Bacon remarked. "Allie, and the entire Wildcats softball team, have made us so proud. To see her throw a pitch and go one-on-one against a Blowfish at Lexington County Baseball Stadium will be a moment fans remember for quite some time."
Gates open at 6pm with game time at 7:05pm Tonight!
