Central Islip, N.Y.- The Long Island Ducks shut out the Somerset Patriots 2-0 on Saturday night in Game Four of the Liberty Division Championship Series at Bethpage Ballpark. The best-of-five series is now tied at two games apiece.

All of Long Island's offense came in the third inning. Tyler Colvin doubled down the left field line to begin the inning. Two batters later, Anthony Vega cranked a first pitch two-run home run to right field to give the Ducks the early lead.

Somerset threatened several times during the game but failed to dent home plate. Yovan Gonzalez and Scott Kelly hit back-to-back singles with one out in the third and two outs in the fifth but were stranded on base both times. Carlos Guzman and Brian Van Kirk also hit consecutive singles with one out in the seventh, but Gonzalez struck out and Kelly popped out to end the threat.

Jarret Leverett (1-0) was stellar to earn the victory for the Ducks. The southpaw tossed seven shutout innings, yielding just six hits and a walk while striking out five.

Shaun Garceau (0-1) suffered the loss, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks over six and two-thirds innings with four strikeouts. After Amalio Diaz pitched a scoreless inning in the eighth, Todd Coffey fired a scoreless ninth to earn the save.
