Lemire Signs WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with Cougars

Prince George, BC - The Prince George Cougars have signed forward Kayden Lemire ('08) to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Lemire was the Cougars' 37th overall selection in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft. The Edmonton, AB product spent the 2022-23 season with the OHA Edmonton U15 program of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL). The 15-year-old had an impressive 2022-23 season, posting 28 goals and 35 assists in just 27 games. In three playoff games, Lemire owned two goals and one assist in three playoff games.

"We are thrilled to have Kayden committed to the Cougars and welcome him and his family to the Cougars organization," said Cougars Director of Scouting Bob Simmonds. "He brings size, skill, and scoring to the table and will be a big part of our future. We're looking forward to seeing him at training camp in the fall."
