Legue Named An All-Star

North Charleston, SC - The ECHL announced this week that rookie Jeff Legue will represent the Stingrays at the 2006 ECHL All Star Game in Fresno, CA on January 25th. Legue leads the Stingrays in goals this season with 11.

The rookie has been out for the last two weeks with an ankle injury, But is expected back in the lineup within the next two weeks. He is currently fourth on the team in overall scoring with 18 points in 25 games.

Legue (luh-GWEE) is a Cornwall, Ontario product. At 5'11" and 170lbs, Legue had 44 points in 37 games on 24 goals and 20 assists a year ago at Ferris State. He scored an impressive 67 goals in his four year career with the Bulldogs.

"Jeff has the ability to put the puck in the net," added Fitzsimmons. "He is exactly what this All Star Game is all about, a solid prospect with a bright future in the game."

The Stingrays will host Augusta tonight at the North Charleston Coliseum at a special 6:00 start time. The Stingrays will wear special Tuxedo Jerseys on Saturday to celebrate New Years Eve. After a road game on New Years Day in Greenville, the Stingrays will host Charlotte on Tuesday.
