FORT MYERS, FL (May 23, 2006) - With the little nicks and injuries adding up for the Fort Myers Miracle a familiar face returned with infielder Jose Leger being added to the roster.
The 24-year-old Leger was hitting .241-0-3 with the Miracle from April 20-May 9 before being called up to Double-A New Britain. While with the Rock Cats he was 1-7 in three games and drove in one run.
Leger, who is a versatile player, played six games at third and two games at catcher for the Miracle before his call up. He played one game at third and one at catcher at Double-A.
The Miracle roster now stands at 24 players, 12 pitchers and 12 position players, one short of the maximum of 25.
