Texas Legends News Release
BOISE, ID - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), handed the Idaho Stampede their first home loss tonight in Boise 115-103.
The Stampede took control early and held on through the first half, but the Legends came out of the locker room firing. Sean Singletary and Devin Ebanks combined for 39 points in the second half to help outscore the Stampede 59-42. The fourth quarter proved to be the breaking point for Idaho as Texas held them to a game-low 18 points. Singletary posted 13 in the fourth quarter alone while the Legends held the Stampede to 6 and under. Texas had 6 players in double-digits, shooting 50% on the night and tying their season-high of 32 free throws. After being beat to the boards 36-62 in last night's contest, the Legends grabbed 47 rebounds to the Stampede's 36.
Singletary led all scorers, powering out a season-high 31 points, and Devin Ebanks added the game's only double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Idaho's Dee Bost led the Stampede with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
The Legends will continue their road streak in Austin Jan 3rd and 4th before heading to the NBA Development League Showcase in Reno. The team returns home Jan 11th to host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
