
Legends Take Down Spurs in Brown's Homecoming

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends (8-5) took a wire-to-wire victory over the Austin Spurs (6-7) 121-103 in Greg Brown III's Austin homecoming.
Theo Pinson grabbed the first basket for Texas with a long ball en route an 8-0 run. The Legends continued to dominate, taking a 19-point lead at the first quarter break. The largest lead of the night came early in the second went up 39-17, but the home team responded with a 15-2 run and pulled within three with two minutes left in the half.
Pinson again opened the second half with a three for the Legends to bring the gap back to double-digits, but the Spurs stayed close and forged a three-point difference heading into the fourth. The home team tied it up seconds into the fourth but a late 12-0 run by the visitors put the game out of reach.
Brown finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and a game-high 4 blocks. Theo Pinson led all scorers with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Jordan Walker came off the bench for 24 points, 3 assists, and Justin Jackson added 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Tony Bradley put up 13 points, 6 rebounds joined off the bench by Teafale Lenard Jr. with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks and Joe Wieskamp with 10 points, 2 rebounds.
Sir'Jabari Rice led the Spurs with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals while Sidy Cissoko and RaiQuan Gray each added 14 points, 4 rebounds.
The Legends head to Santa Cruz next for a back-to-back Friday and Saturday. All games will be broadcast live on the UEN app and urbanedge.network.
