Lexington Legends News Release
Lexington, KY - The Legends advertising department announced today that advertising space has been sold on the top of Alan Stein's newly shaved head. Last week, Stein guaranteed a win for the Legends against the Greensboro Bats for the Lexington home opener. When the Legends lost, Stein made-good on his promise to shave his head.
Whether or not the new look suits Stein is a matter of opinion, but it has generated a lot of conversation around town and the league. That is what inspired Stein to offer his head as advertising space.
Debra Hensley of State Farm Insurance on Nicholasville Road has leased the space on Stein's head for this evening's contest against the Lakewood BlueClaws at 7:05 pm. Hensley: "Typical of Alan, this is not only fun but it is a creative way to get maximum exposure."
The terms of the sale are not being disclosed, but Stein did say that, "the sale is on-par with our normal advertising rates on a per-game basis." Advertising on Stein's head is still available for both Friday and Saturday's games.
