Lexington, KY - The Greenville Drive (28-20) had no answer for the Lexington Legends 21-27) offense on Friday night, giving up 19 hits in a 10-3 defeat. The Legends knotted the series up at a game apiece with the win.

With the game tied at one, the Legends collected four runs on six hits in the bottom of the third to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Alfredo Escalera began the inning by smacking a Dedgar Jimenez (3-2) offering over the left field wall to make the score 2-1. After a one-out double by Elier Hernandez, Wander Franco kept the big inning going with a two-run blast to left field, and Corey Toups added an RBI single for the fourth run.

Those runs were plenty for Lexington starter Zach Lovvorn (4-4), who allowed two earned runs over five innings with four strikeouts.

Toups drove home Lexington's first run of the night with a fielder's choice in the second inning, and the Drive answered back in the third on an RBI single by Derek Miller.

After Jordan Procyshen's two-run single in the fifth cut the Lexington lead to 5-3, the Legends came right back with two of their own in the bottom half on RBI hits by Mike Hill and Humberto Arteaga.

The Legends came up with three run-scoring extra base hits in the eighth courtesy of doubles by Franco and Samir Duenez and a triple by Hernandez.

Escalera had a huge game for Lexington, going 5-5, and Franco drove home three runs with three hits. Hernandez added three hits of his own, and Duenez, Toups and Chase Vallot all picked up two hits. Procyshen had two hits and two RBI for the Drive, while Rafael Devers and Joseph Monge chipped in with two hits, with Devers extending his batting average to a league-leading .344.

Game three of the series begins at 7:05 PM on Saturday night in Lexington. LH Jalen Beeks (4-1, 3.63) will take the mound for the Drive, and the Legends counter with LH Foster Griffin (0-0, 5.00).
