Lexington Legends News Release
(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) The Lexington Legends return home to play a three-game series against the Rome Braves beginning Tuesday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Thirty-eight-cent hot dogs, a "Thirsty Thursday" and a special night to support the work of DanceBlue at the University of Kentucky will be part of the homestand.
"We know our fans will enjoy the special prices on hot dogs Tuesday and drinks Thursday," said Legends President/CEO Andy Shea. "Also, Education Day always brings a lot of energy and excitement to the ballpark, and we're happy to support DanceBlue Thursday night."
The schedule:
Tuesday, April 28: Legends vs. Rome, 7:05 p.m. At every Tuesday home game, hot dogs will sell for 38 cents each in recognition of the Ford F-150 being the bestselling truck for 38 consecutive years.
Wednesday, April 29: Legends vs. Rome, 10:05 a.m. Wednesday's game is the second of three Zaxby's Education Day games, and the Legends will welcome groups of students from many schools throughout central and eastern Kentucky.
Thursday, April 30: Legends vs. Rome, 7:05 p.m. All Thursday home games are Kentucky Ale Thirsty Thursdays, and beer and Pepsi products will sell for one dollar each.
In addition, the Legends are backing the fund-raising efforts of DanceBlue with DanceBlue Night Thursday night.
DanceBlue, which has as its theme "For the Kids," is a year-round campaign for the DanceBlue Kentucky Children's Hospital pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic. The effort culminates in a 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon on the University of Kentucky campus.
For the Legends' DanceBlue Night, a portion of ticket proceeds will go to support DanceBlue. DanceBlue box seat tickets will be sold for only seven dollars each online in advance of the game, using the promocode FTKLEGENDS. Tickets for groups of 20 or more will be sold for six dollars each, and groups will receive five DanceBlue 2016 spirit points for each member of their group who attends the game. Spirit points are part of the competition among groups and organizations who take part in DanceBlue.
