Frisco, TX FEB. 16, 2012 - On Friday the Texas Legends will honor the outstanding work of Gary Schneider, President and General Manager of CBS 11 and TXA 21, along with Susan G. Komen for the Cure volunteer Misty Al-Tirhi, by making them the honorary Legends of the Night.

In total Gary Schneider's television stations sponsor more than 40 non-profit events each year. Schneider also serves on the board of the Texas Can! Academy, a group of charter schools for at-risk youth.

"It's incredible seeing the length of work that Gary Schneider and his stations go to for dozens of causes. We are thrilled to make Gary the Legend of the Night for devoting his time and resources to help his fellow man," said Texas Legends Owner and Dallas Mavericks General Manager Donnie Nelson.

The Legends will also honor Susan G. Komen for the Cure volunteer Misty Al-Tirhi. Misty has been a faithful volunteer for the past three years. In honor of Misty and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Texas will change their team colors for Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by HP and play in full-pink uniforms. The Legends will also donate 10% of all walk-up ticket sales to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

"Last year's event was a big success. We couldn't be happier to partner with Susan G. Komen for the Cure once again," commented Nelson. "Misty is an inspiration to all of us. She's touched countless lives in her volunteer work and we're proud to name her the Legend of the Night."

The Legends host the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at 7:00PM on Friday at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.
