Lexington Legends News Release
Free apples for teachers, a chainsaw juggler, the kickoff to Craft Beer Week, fireworks and much more are on the schedule for the Lexington Legends next homestand, which opens Wednesday night.
The Legends, who won three out of four games and collected 47 hits in the last three games of their weekend series in Asheville, return home to face the Charleston RiverDogs, an affiliate of the New York Yankees, and the Kannapolis Intimidators, an affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Charleston is in first place in the South Atlantic League Southern Division, six games ahead of Lexington. The Legends are tied for fifth place in the Southern Division.
"What a great time for Legends fans," said Legends President/CEO Andy Shea. "These seven days are packed with as much fun and entertainment as we've had on any homestand for a long time, plus the Legends have a chance to gain some ground on the division leaders.
