GreenJackets Launch Most Improved Student Program

AUGUSTA, GA: The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A affiliate of the 2014 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, are proud to offer area schools the opportunity to reward students for hard work and achievement in the classroom through the Most Improved Student program.
The program allows for students from every class, in each participating school, to be recognized for exemplary improvement of his or her progress in the classroom. As measuring progress is very subjective, the guidelines for selecting each student will be determined by each educator. The selection process may be based upon academic, social, or behavioral improvement or any other factors the educator determines to be pertinent.
"We are excited to offer area students the opportunity to be rewarded for all their hard work and achievements this school year," stated GreenJackets General Manager Tom Denlinger. "We look forward to a fun night at Lake Olmstead Stadium showcasing CSRA students."
Each most improved student will receive, a free general admission ticket, a pre-game recognition ceremony, on-field parade with Auggie, a membership in the Junior 'Jackets Kids Club, and a night they will never forget.
Teachers are asked to submit nominations no later than May 15, 2015. The GreenJackets will supply each teacher with the letter to inform each student that they have been chosen as the Most Improved Student. The students will be invited to attend a GreenJackets game on one of the following games: May 26th or May 27th.
