Texas Legends News Release
FRISCO, TX - The Comerica Center, home of the Texas Legends, has been announced as a polling site for Collin County for the 2020 General Election on Nov. 3rd.
"We are excited about the announcement making the arena a polling location and appreciate the efforts of our County officials in making this happen," said Legends President and General Manager Malcolm Farmer. "Our team made a commitment to voter education and access and we look forward to continuing to implement tools to make sure our community's voices are heard."
The Legends have placed an emphasis on civic engagement, committing to help advocate for voter registration, education, and access for all. As part of the team's initiatives, Legends front office members will be running the polling location.
"Our staff wanted to be as hands-on as possible. They have the day off as part of our initial commitment to expand voting opportunities, and they now have the option to come volunteer and work to further the opportunities for others."
As announced previously, the Legends will also host a voter registration event at Comerica Center Sep. 22nd 12-2pm and 4-6pm with the option to register on-site or get a mail-in registration card.
The team has also launched a page on their website dedicated to voting resources - TexLegends.com/Vote.
