Legends Announce 2014-15 Charitable Partners
November 18, 2014 - NBA G League (G League)
Texas Legends News Release
FRISCO, Texas, (Nov. 18, 2014) - The Texas Legends are proud to announce, for the second year straight, 24 charitable partnerships that will be displayed across the 24 home games in 2014-15. The Legends are the only team in NBA Development League history to host 24 specialty jersey nights, all of which are charitably themed. Each home game, the team will wear a different jersey representing a local, regional or national charity or cause-providing a tremendous amount of exposure and awareness to the charity.
Last season the team hosted 24 different charitable jersey nights for the first time and saw tremendous success from every angle. Charities and causes involved collected significant donations, increased volunteer hours, gained media exposure and experienced more than 150,000 impressions across the world. With an increased international media reach, the Legends expect these numbers to multiply this season.
The jersey nights are designed to benefit the charity in funding and exposure, but also to benefit the Legends fanbase by educating them on the outreach opportunities in North Texas and providing new avenues for philanthropic efforts.
As in years past, the evenings vary greatly in size of charity and of sponsor, but each night has a unique purpose and passion. The full schedule of specialty jersey nights including sponsors follows.
