Frisco, TX (November 30, 2010)- A historic night at Dr Pepper Arena turned into a high scoring extravaganza on Tuesday night, as the Texas Legends took care of business with a 135-112 victory over the Austin Toros in the first home game in franchise history.

The Legends got started early and often, scoring an NBA D-League record 84 points in the first half on the home floor.

The Legends were led by six double-digit scorers, including three players with 20 or more points. Recently assigned from the NBA affiliate, Dallas Mavericks, Dominique Jones was the team's leading scorer as he dropped in 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting.

Also playing in his first game with the Legends, Rashad McCants, put in 20 points in 19 minutes on the floor, while Joe Alexander had the team's lone double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

As a team, the Legends shot 54.5% from the floor, in front of 3,010 fans, which included Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Mavs Head Coach Rick Carlisle and former Mav great Mark Aguire.

The Legends led by as much as 35 points, going up 80-45 with just under three minutes left to go in the first half and led 84-55 at the half.

Texas will continue their first home stand in franchise history on Friday and Saturday night with contests against Rio Grande Valley and Tulsa respectively. The tip time for both games is at 7:00 p.m. at Dr Pepper Arena.
