WINNIPEG, MB – Mark Oct. 27 on your calendars, because that's the date of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Legacy Dinner.

An event that celebrates the past, present and future of the Winnipeg Football Club, the Legacy Dinner will take place Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre at 7:00 p.m.

Presented by Smith Carter, this dinner celebrates the great game of football in Manitoba. CFL Commissioner Tom Wright will be the guest speaker at the event.

Those people attending the dinner can celebrate the induction of the three most recent additions to the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame: players David Black and Darryl Sampson and builder Ken Houssin. The Hall of Fame portion of the dinner is sponsored by Crocus Investment Fund.

People going to the dinner can meet players, get their autographs and have pictures taken with them. The same is true for Blue Bombers coaches, staff and members of the Labatt Blue Lightning Dance Team.

What's a Blue Bombers dinner without terrific prize giveaways? This year is no exception as there will be a grand prize draw for an all-inclusive trip for two to this year's Grey Cup in Ottawa. As always, there will be a silent auction for several memorabilia items.

Individual tickets for the dinner are $250 + GST. People can purchase tables of 10 – with a Blue Bomber player sitting at your table – for $2500 + GST. Tickets are available by calling the Blue Bombers office at 784-2583.
