Stockton Thunder News Release

Stockton, Calif - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have been loaned rookie defenseman Loic Leduc from the Sound Tigers by way of the New York Islanders.

Leduc, 20, is in his first professional season after finishing his QMJHL career with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and Rimouski Oceanic. The 6'7=1B$B!m=1B(B defenseman was drafted in the fourth round (103rd Overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Islanders.

The Chateauguay, Quebec native has played 25 games for the Thunder this season, scoring 3 goals and adding an assist. Leduc scored his first professional goal on October 18 against Ty Rimmer and the Bakersfield Condors. He received his first call-up to the AHL with the Sound Tigers on January 4 but didn't see any game action in his first stint in the AHL.

Teddy Bear Toss is this Saturday when we invite our fans to bring stuffed animals to the game, and once the Thunder score their first goal, fans are asked to toss them out onto the ice where they will be distributed to children in need. Tickets to the game are going quick so call (209) 373-1500 or visit StocktonThunder.com to secure yours today.
