Rockford, Ill. - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Friday that the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs have released defenseman Brett Lebda from his Professional Tryout.

The 31-year-old defenseman appeared in 27 contests for Rockford this season, recording 11 assists and 18 penalty minutes. Lebda tallied his 100th career assist on Dec. 27 against Chicago and marked three assists on Nov. 2 vs. Lake Erie.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Jan. 26 vs. Oklahoma City Barons. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. as Rockford and Oklahoma City meet for the first time this season. The first 2,500 fans through the turnstiles of the BMO Harris Bank Center will receive an IceHogs team trading card set courtesy of the Rockford Register Star.
