PEARL, MS -- Mississippi Braves RHP Lay Batista has been activated from the disabled list, and LHP Carlos Perez has been placed on the disabled list with a viral infection (stomach). Perez will report to Orlando for further tests.
Batista, 24, is being activated from his stint on the DL. He was placed on the DL with a right triceps strain April 11. A native of the Dominican Republic, Batista was signed by the Braves on December 20, 2013.

Perez went 3-0 with a 2.76 ERA in 29 outings between Low-A Rome and High-A Lynchburg last season.
