Lawley Lifts Mets Past Marauders 5-2

Dustin Lawley had  two home runs and drove in three runs as the Mets defeated the Bradenton Marauders 5-2 on Friday at Tradition Field.

Angel Cuan picked up the victory to improve to 3-1 and allowed just two runs over five innings. Jim Fuller tossed two scoreless innings in relief while T.J. Chism earned a six-out save to close the game. 

Lawley hit a two-run homer to left to give the Mets a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Cam Maron added a two-out, RBI single to extend the lead to 3-0. 

Lawley ripped a solo home run to give the Mets a 5-2 lead. 

The Mets will host Bradenton on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Marcos Camarena is the scheduled starter for the Mets.
