
Lauridsen Leads Denmark at World Juniors

(Green Bay, WI) -) Green Bay Gamblers defenseman Markus Lauridsen led his home country of Denmark to a 4-1-0 record at the World Junior Under 20 Group B Championships in Slovenia. At the 6-team tournament, Lauridsen was tops among all defenseman in scoring, registering seven points (1 goal and 6 assists).
Lauridsen garnered Player of the Game honors, as the St. Cloud State recruit registered a goal and two assists in Denmark's 12-3 win over Croatia.
By winning the 2011 IIHF World Championship Division I tournament, Denmark qualified for the Top Division of the 2012 IIHF World Championship that will be played in Calgary and Edmonton, in the Canadian province of Alberta.
