Late Second Period Goal Leads Attack to 3-2 Win Over Rangers

Owen Sound's Joey Hishon scored short-handed late in the second period to edge the Attack 3-2 over the Kitchener Rangers.

The Rangers Michael Hasson buried a rebound to score the only goal in the first period at 15:34. The goal came on Kitchener's 20th shot on net.

Owen Sound's Andrew Shaw tied the game at 1-1 early in the second period. Andrew Fritsch scored stick side on Rangers netminder Brandon Maxwell at the 3:07 mark to put the Attack up 2-1. 29-seconds later, Jerry D'Amigo answered back to tie the game at 2-2. Hishon backhanded his 35th goal of the season to mark a short-handed goal for Owen Sound and give the Attack a 3-2 lead. The goal came with 12-seconds left in the period.

The third period was scoreless.

The Rangers travel to Erie on Saturday, March 12th for a 7:00pm game versus the Otters. They will then play the Guelph Storm on Wednesday, March 16th at 7:00pm.
