FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, fell 8-2 to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals Friday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS
* The RoughRiders opened the scoring with a two-run third on RBI singles from Michael O'Neill and Luis Mendez.
* Northwest Arkansas tied the game in the fifth inning on a two-run home run from Alfredo Escalera and grabbed a 3-2 lead in the sixth before scoring five runs in the eighth and ninth.
* Riders starter Yohander Mendez allowed just two runs on five hits across five innings of work in a no-decision. His seven strikeouts were his most in six starts with the Riders.
