
Late Rally Pushes Rox Past MoonDogs

Mankato, MN - Despite a Craig Nennig homerun, the MoonDogs earned a series split as they dropped Monday night's game at Franklin Rogers Park by a score of 5-4 to the St. Cloud Rox.
In the ninth inning the St. Cloud Rox (8-4) were able to plate the winning run off of the Mankato MoonDogs (5-9) hard throwing reliever Ricky Rameriz. Rameriz worked the final frame giving up the one run on two hits and took the loss.
Connor O'Neil (0-1) took to the hill for the MoonDogs in the start and worked eight innings scattering five hits, allowing four runs while fanning four. Despite a strong performance, in his fourth appearance on the mound, O'Neil would not get a decision.
Craig Nennig provided the pop for the MoonDogs as he went 2-for3 driving in all four of the MoonDog runs on the night. Nennig had a 5th inning three run go-ahead homerun. Sulliam Rios Reyes also added two hits as he went 2-for-4.
For the Rox Trevor Charpie (1-0) picked up the win in relief, his first of the season. Toby Hanson lead the Rox offensively as he went 2-for-4 scoring a run and drove in a pair.
The MoonDogs continue the five game home stand tomorrow as they face of against the Alexandria Blue Anchors, 7:05pm at The Frank for the fan favorite ZOOperstars!
