Las Vegas Aces Guard Lindsay Allen to Miss 2019 Season Following Successful Offseason Knee Surgery

May 5, 2019 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) - Las Vegas Aces News Release

Las Vegas - Las Vegas Aces General Manager Dan Padover announced today that guard Lindsay Allen will miss the 2019 WNBA Season following successful offseason knee surgery.

Allen averaged 18.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists for the Melbourne Boomers (Australia) during the winter, leading them to the second-best regular season record in the league, and a berth in the WNBL semifinals.

"Lindsay provided the Aces with some much-needed stability and depth in the backcourt last season, "said Padover. "We are going to miss her contributions both on the court and in the locker room this year, but we look forward to welcoming her back to the Aces in 2020."

After signing with Las Vegas as a free agent just prior to the start of the 2018 regular season, Allen started the first six games of the year, and played in 24 overall. She had better than a three-to-one assist-to-turnover ratio on the season, and set single-game career highs in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals. The Notre Dame grad finished fourth in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio, and 27th in assists per game.

Las Vegas tips off its second season of WNBA competition at Mandalay Bay Events Center on Sunday, May 26 at 5 pm PT. The Aces are also hosting AT&T WNBA All-Star Game 2019 on Saturday, July 27. Tickets to All-Star, as well as season, group, single game and flex plan ticket packages may be purchased at For additional information about the Aces please visit or follow on social media via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
