WHAT HAPPENED

The Dallas Wings opened it's 2019 training camp today from the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington. The team got started this afternoon with drills and stretching before breaking into two teams for a shooting competition. The day also included live 5-on-5 play, 5-on-0 and more shooting before wrapping up the day's session.

WHAT WAS SAID

"The first day of camp was interesting. We started way different than I've started other training camps. We got to know each other, Coach Agler and the assistant coaches on a whole different level and then we started practice. We did a little bit of warming up and then got into it. It was exciting, it was different and it was a new feel. Everybody's giving their all, they're coming out here playing as hard as they could play and showing everyone what they have." - Glory Johnson

"I was excited to finally get out here on the first day of training camp and get it going. I thought it was good. I'm looking forward to just playing basketball. Being able to play professionally has been something I've always dreamed of, so it's going to be competitive and I like that." - Arike Ogunbowale

"It was a productive. A lot of energy. I think everyone is on edge because everyone is brand new to each other, but I thought our effort was good and we had a good first day. I think it's important that we get our culture developed, Everyone's a part of that, not just the coaches. It's the organization, coaching staff, players and everyone understands what we're striving for and that everything we're doing is for a purpose."-Head Coach Brian Agler
