LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, will open a brief four-game homestand on Thursday, June 10 against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, at 7:05 p.m. at Cashman Field. The four-game series will conclude on Sunday, June 13 in the final matinee "home" game of the season at 12:05 p.m. The remaining four "home" Sunday games (July 24, August 8, 22, 29) will be played at 7:05 p.m.

The 51s, under manager Dan Rohn, are currently in fourth place in the Pacific Southern Division, 24-35, 14.5 games behind the Fresno Grizzlies. The four-game road trip in Tacoma, Wash., will conclude on Tuesday. The next scheduled off day for the PCL is Wednesday.

Las Vegas is averaging 4,761 fans (152,354) through 32 home dates in the 2010 season. The season-high crowd was 10,459 vs. Omaha on May 18. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in "home" attendance in all 27 seasons (1983-2009) and the all-time total now stands at 9,176,832.

Budweiser Dollar Beer Night will be presented in the opening game of the homestand on Thursday. Proper identification and wristbands are required for dollar beer night.

A spectacular post-game "Fireworks Show" will highlight the festivities on Friday at 7:05 p.m. The fireworks show is sponsored by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Game three of the series on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. will feature 51s Visor Night, sponsored by metroPCS, to the first 2,500 fans through the gates. The annual Save Second Base Night will be presented in conjunction with Susan G. Komen For The Cure! The 51s players will wear pink jerseys to honor those who have been faced with breast cancer. The jerseys will be a part of a silent auction to help raise money for the Southern Nevada affiliate. Fans can wear pink to the game and receive $2.00 off a reserved ticket at the box office.

The finale of the homestand will be on Sunday, June 13.

Colorado Springs' roster features one of the top 10 prospects in the Rockies organization, according to Baseball America: right-handed pitcher Esmil Rogers (No. 9), who is the scheduled starter in the opening game of the series.

The 51s broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on Fox Sports Radio 920 AM, which will carry live all 144 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the five-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 11th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.

Following the homestand, Las Vegas will embark on an eight-game road trip that will "lead up" to the halfway mark of the 2010 season. The 51s will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, to face the Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, from Monday-Thursday, June 14-17. Las Vegas will then continue the road swing to Colorado Springs, Colo., to face the Sky Sox in a four-game series from Friday-Monday, June 18-21.
