Laredo Law News Release
LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Law have made three player cuts. The Law training camp continues this week with the team moving inside the Laredo Entertainment Center on Thursday. The Laredo Law 2004 af2 season begins April 3rd, with the home opener set for April 23rd at the LEC. Call the Law ticket office at (956)-726-GAME (4263) or log onto www.laredolaw.com.
The Law conducted a scrimmage on Saturday afternoon as the team ran 50 scripted plays at the Student Activities Center. After the scrimmage decisions had to be made to trim the training camp roster to 30 players.
"The scrimmage went very well," said Law head coach Scot Maynard. "We need to improve our execution and timing. We have limited rosters here in af2 and with just 21 players that forces us into to making tough decision."
The Law reassigned OL/DL Ty Rogers, DS Bobby Jordan, and OS Mark Littlejohn.
"Every day we have improved," said Maynard. "Today was our best practice of the year and I look for that improvement to continue."
Law training camp moved into its fourth practice day with two morning workouts today at the SAC.
"I think this team has a lot of talent," said Law QB candidate Josh Rogers. "We are a young team that lacks experience, but we feel like we can make up for it with the talent and enthusiasm we have in camp."
The team will have workouts on Tuesday and Wednesday morning at the SAC. On Wednesday evening the team will move inside the LEC for workouts. The Law will have indoor practices on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and training camp will culminate on Sunday with the Law Fan Fest from 2-6 p.m.
Final cuts will take place on Sunday when the roster will be trimmed to 21 players. The Law will dress 19 players for each game, with two players on the inactive list.

The Laredo Law will be holding tryouts for the dance team for the 2004 af2 season. Dance team tryouts will be held at the LEC this Wednesday and Thursday. Previous dancing experience preferred, but not required. Both nights the tryouts will begin at 6 p.m.
