
Laredo Gets Sweep with Runaway Victory

LAREDO, Texas - The AirHogs fell to the Lemurs 12-0 in Game 3 of a 3-game set Sunday evening. The team travels back to Amarillo to face the Saltdogs tomorrow.
Laredo racked up 22 hits against 4 AirHogs hurlers. The dozen run deficit was the largest of the season for the AirHogs.
The Lemurs were led by Leandro Castro, who started a big night with a home run off Texas starter Sam Martin in the bottom of the 1st. Drew Martinez crossed the plate 3 times for the 2nd straight evening.
Brian Bistagne had 2 hits in the contest. Martin took his 3rd loss while Barret Loux picked up his 2nd win by striking out 9 and scattering 3 hits over 7 innings.
The AirHogs (17-26) return to Amarillo for an Independence Day game tomorrow at 6:05 vs. Lincoln. RHP Matt Shepherd is expected to start for the AirHogs. The teams split a 4-game set in Lincoln May 30-June 2.
