
Lancers' Wahl Commits To Brown University

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Matt Wahl has committed to Brown University and will attend the school beginning in the fall of 2010. A first-year blue-liner from Wellington, Florida, Wahl has registered 4 assists in 24 games since joining the Lancers. He has also posted a +10 rating, which currently ranks 6th among all Omaha skaters.
Wahl was originally selected 73rd overall (Round 6) by the Lancers in the 2009 USHL Entry Draft. Before coming to Omaha, he patrolled the blue line for Cranbrook Kingswood High School in Michigan.
The West Division-leading Omaha Lancers (27-8-2, 56 Pts.) return to action tomorrow evening as they welcome the East Division and USHL-leading Green Bay Gamblers (27-6-3, 57 Pts.) to the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Opening face off is scheduled for 7:05 PM. Tickets are currently available through the Qwest Center Box office from 10 AM - 6 PM and will also be on sale beginning tomorrow morning at 10 AM at the Omaha Civic Auditorium Box Office.
