Lancers Top Force 4-0
April 2, 2021 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Fargo Force News Release
Tonight was all Lancers, as Omaha came away with a dominant 4-0 win at Scheels Arena tonight. The Force will look to regroup tomorrow and get back those two points to split the series.
Hunter McDonald kicked off the scoring early with his 1st goal of the season, just 2:52 into the first. Both teams had power play opportunities but neither capitalized, period one closed out with a 1-0 Omaha lead.
The Lancers took charge in the second scoring three unanswered goals to build their lead to 4-0. The Force had some good looks at the net but were shut down by Omaha goalie Jakub Dobes.
Despite two early power play chances and outshooting their opponents 14-5 in the third the Force couldn't get anything going. The third place Omaha Lancers came away with a big 4-0 win in night one of the weekend.
The Force are back again for a rematch tomorrow night, puck drop is at 6:05 PM.
