
Lancers To Build Castle For Charity

The Lancers have partnered with Project Nightlights, a new 501 (c) (3) charitable organization in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area, who provides hope and healing to children who are living with or recovering from a serious medical condition. During five evenings through the course of the 2006-07 season, Lancer players & staff, fans and volunteers from Project Nightlights will be invited to Lowe's on 72nd and Giles Streets in Papillion to build a custom Lancer Playhouse (estimated value: $7,000). Photos will be taken each night documenting the progress and will be shown on LancerVision in the arena throughout the season. The project kicks off on Tuesday, November 28 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Here are the remaining evenings the playhouse will be built:
Wednesday, Dec. 13th 6-8pm
Wednesday, Jan. 23rd 6-8pm
Tuesday, Feb. 13th 6-8pm
Tuesday, March 13th 6-8pm
Raffle tickets will be sold beginning on the Friday December 1st Lancer game and will be sold at every home game thereafter for the chance to win the castle! Purchase your tickets for $5.00 each at the Project Nightlights table, located near the Fan Services Booth. 100% of the proceeds from the raffle will go to Project Nightlights. Once the castle is complete, it will be put on display at the Mid-America Center. The drawing for the castle will be held during the first intermission of the final regular season home game on Saturday, April 14th.
