Lancers Prepare For Trio Of Games

October 20, 2009 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Omaha Lancers News Release

The Omaha Lancers enter United States Hockey League (USHL) action this weekend having played the fewest games of any team in the West Division. That will quickly change as the Lancers prepare for three games in three days beginning this Thursday evening. Omaha (3-1) concludes its current five-game home stand Thursday when it welcomes the highest scoring team in the USHL, the Chicago Steel (4-1). Through five games, Chicago has registered 27 goals and has already recorded five or more goals in a single game three times this season.

The Lancers then hit the road for the first time this season with contests in Waterloo and Sioux City this Friday and Saturday. First, Omaha heads east to battle the Waterloo Black Hawks (1-3) whose only win of the young season came with a 5-4 Opening Night victory over the Green Bay Gamblers. The Lancers then conclude their busy weekend Saturday with a West Division battle against the Sioux City Musketeers (2-3). After starting the season 0-3, the Musketeers rebounded last weekend with a pair of wins over Team USA. A complete schedule of Omaha's upcoming games is listed below.
