The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) head east this weekend for a pair of games against one of the newest members of the USHL, Team USA. The Lancers (6-1) are back in action this Thursday and Friday after a busy 3-games-in-3-days stretch last weekend. Omaha was perfect a week ago with a 5-1 victory at home over the Chicago Steel followed by its first road wins of the season in Waterloo on Friday and Sioux City on Saturday. The Lancers conclude their current four-game road trip this weekend with a visit to Ann Arbor, Michigan to take on Team USA (0-8-1), which is still looking for its first victory of the season. USA suffered a 4-3 overtime defeat last Friday evening in Sioux City and was then overwhelmed in the third period by the RoughRiders en route to a 7-2 loss in Cedar Rapids on Saturday. A breakdown of Omaha's weekend schedule is listed below.

LANCERS' TEGLIA NAMED USHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK...AGAIN

For the second time in four weeks, Omaha Lancers' goaltender Jeff Teglia has been named USHL Goaltender of the Week. After being recognized following the season's opening weekend, Teglia was honored again yesterday following a pair of victories last weekend over Chicago and Sioux City. The second-year Lancers netminder allowed just 2 goals against over the weekend while recording a .956 save percentage. Teglia currently leads all USHL goaltenders with a 1.61 goals-against average and is tied with Indiana's Cab Morris for the league lead with a .935 save percentage.

NEWS & NOTES FOR THE WEEKEND

The Lancers enter the weekend first among all USHL clubs in goals-against per game (1.86) and are second in the league in goals-for per contest (4.14).

After opening the season 3-for-29 (10.3%) on the power play, the Lancers have gone 7-for-20 (35.0%) with the extra attacker over the last three games.

Thirteen different Lancers have tallied at least one goal through the first seven games while 17 Omaha skaters have registered at least one point.

Team USA is broken into two separate teams - the under-17 and under-18 teams. Omaha will face off against the U17 team on Thursday and the U18 squad Friday.
