Lancers Beat Junior Blue Jackets Again in Shootout, 3-2

Brett Bruneteau and Ben Arnt each scored a goal in a shootout as the Omaha Lancers again defeated the Ohio Jr. Blue Jackets 3-2 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. With the win, the Lancers are back to .500 with a 5-5-1 record.

Ohio struck first at 12:04 in the first period; the Lancers however would answered quickly with a Mark Olver goal at 13:55 with assists going to Robby Dee and Will O'Neill.

The Lancers would take the lead at 11:12 in the second period as Keir Ross scored his first goal on the season; Andy Taranto and Andrew Conboy assisted on the play.

Ohio would tie the game at 2-2 with just eight seconds left in the second period and that's where the scoring ended. Neither team would allow a goal in the third period or in overtime.

The Lancers went 2-5 in the shootout while the Jr. Blue Jackets were only able to capitalize once, giving the Lancers the victory.

Goalie Scott Gudmandson earned the win for the Lancers, making 21 saves on the evening. The Lancers outshot the Jr. Blue Jackets 36 to 23; the team went 0 for 7 on the power play.
