Stampede Take Three of Four Points over the Weekend

The Sioux Falls Stampede earned three of four possible points over the weekend, falling 4-3 in a shootout to Cedar Rapids Friday night before defeating Des Moines 3-1 the following night. Max Strang earned the win in goal stopping 27 of 28 shots on the night to earn his second win in as many starts. Strang is now 2-0-0 with an amazing 0.50 GAA and a .978 save percentage to start the season. Corey Tropp, Joe Miller and Drew Fisher all scored for the Stampede.

The Stampede welcome in the Chicago Steel this Friday and Saturday night for a weekend series. Game times are 7:05 PM both night's and tickets are available. The Stampede are currently 3-5-2 on the year, but unbeaten in their last four games (3-0-1). For the latest Stampede news, listen to "Inside Stampede Hockey" today at 5 PM on AM-1230 KWSN.

Two Players Named to Jamboree Rosters-

Nick Dineen and Brad Malone have been named to represent the USHL at the first ever USA Hockey Junior Jamboree, November 13 & 14 in Blaine, MN. The jamboree will feature teams from 12 leagues.

The USHL will be bringing two teams of NHL draft-eligible players to compete with each other in a pair of games. With the assistance of the NHL Central Scouting Bureau, 40 players were chosen to take part in the two-day showcase.

Dineen will play for "Team Black" which will be coached by Des Moines Buccaneers head coach Regg Simon. Malone will skate for "Team White" which will be coached by Cedar Rapids head coach Mark Carlson.

PLAYER CARD NIGHT SATURDAY-

Be among the first 1,500 fans through the doors this Saturday night when the Stampede host the Chicago Steel at the Sioux Falls Arena and receive the second of four Stampede card sets, compliments of Mueller Pallets. The collectible card set will contain six (6) Stampede Player Cards,

BARRIBALL NAMED NATIONAL

ROOKIE OF THE MONTH-

Former Stampede forward Jay Barriball has been named College Sports Television/Hockey Commissioners' Association (CSTV/HCA) National Division I Rookie-of-the-Month for October. In his first seven collegiate games, Barriball racked up 11 points (6g, 5a), tops in the nation amongst rookies.
