Indiana Ice News Release

ICE SPLIT WITH STORM: The Ice came out strong on Friday night with a 4-3 win before getting shelled by the Tri-City Storm on Saturday evening 7-1. Special teams were the difference in both games as the power play and penalty kill would pay dividends for both sides over the weekend. In Friday's contest Ice forward Brian Arrigoni scored his first USHL goal in shorthanded fashion while teammate Jake Skjodt scored the game-winner on the power play. John Kemp and Ron Cramer also added tallies while goaltender Cody Reichard had 33 saves in the win. Saturday's contest featured impressive play from the Tri-City power play play as the Storm erupted for four man-advantage goals. Arrigoni scored the only Ice goal on the evening while Reichard and Kangas split time in goal for the Ice, combining for 41 saves.

BETTER ODDS: The Indiana Ice hope for a little revenge against the Green Bay Gamblers this weekend as the two divisional foes will collide for the second home and home series in nearly a month. Green Bay won both hands back in mid-October with a 7-4 win in Wisconsin (10/14) followed by a 5-4 victory at the Pepsi Coliseum (10/15). Since their two-game sweep of the Ice, the Gamblers have struggled as the club has dropped five of their last six contests. In this years' series, the combo of Garrett Roe and John Kemp has supplied the brunt of the offense with eight points (4G, 4A) among the two of them, while Mike Gurtler has chipped in with a pair of goals. Sergio Somma has four goals in two games for the Gamblers.

ALUMNI WAVES: Michigan State's Jay Sprague recorded an assist and finished +2 in a 7-4 win over Michigan on Friday....Nebraska Omaha's Eddie Del Grosso scored a goal and added two assists in a 5-5 tie with Alaska on Friday....Bemidji State's Travis Winter scored twice and recorded three assists in two weekend wins against Minnesota State.
