Hickory Crawdads News Release
Hickory, NC - The Texas Rangers announced today that Hickory Crawdads RHP Trey Lambert has been promoted to the High Desert Mavericks (Class A - Advanced), becoming the third 'Dad this season to move up in the Rangers organization.
Lambert, 23, was a key member of a Crawdads pitching staff that currently leads the South Atlantic League with a 2.94 ERA. The 6'4" 205-pound reliever went 1-1 with a 4.41 ERA (8 ER/16.1 IP) over seven appearances out of the bullpen. Signed by the Rangers as a minor league free agent in 2015 after pitching for the River City Rascals of the Independent Frontier League in 2014, Lambert posted a K/BB ratio of 16/5 during his time in Hickory, while allowing no runs in five of his seven relief appearances.
Outfielder Eduard Pinto was also placed on the 7-day DL, while right-handed pitchers Adam Parks and David Perez were added to the 'Dads active roster from Extended Spring Training.
Lambert joins fellow 2015 Crawdads Ronald Guzman and Jefri Hernandez on the Mavericks roster.
