CHARLESTON, WV - The Lakewood BlueClaws and the West Virginia Power had the final game of their 4 game series and the final game of the First Half for both teams canceled on Sunday due to rain and a wet field in Charleston, WV. Lakewood finishes the first half with 33-35 record.
Up next is the Saouth Atlantic League All-star Game on Tuesday at the home of the Delmarva Shorebirds in Salisbury, MD. Lakewood will be well represented with 5 players participating in the All-Star Game: 1B Jim Murphy, OF, Anthony Hewitt, and RHP's Garett Claypool, Lisalberto Bonilla, and David Buchanan. Buchanan will be the Starting Pitcher for the Northern Division. The BlueClaws will return home as a team on Thursday to welcome the Delmarva Shorebirds for a 4 game series. First Pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
