Lakeland Magic Announce 2018 Open Tryouts

The Lakeland Magic, the NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, have announced the open tryout dates for the 2018-19 season which will be held on Sat., Sept. 22 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Auburndale Community Center (405 Bennett St., Auburndale, FL 33823) and Sun., Sept. 23 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Orlando Sports Center (6700 KingsPointe Parkway, Orlando, FL 32819). Local player tryouts provide athletes the chance to showcase their skills in front of Lakeland Magic coaches and staff.
Former local player tryout success stories include Kevin Foster, a Polk County native and 2017 local tryout participant who appeared in 23 games for the Lakeland Magic last season.
Players interested in trying out can pre-register until Sept. 19 at lakelandmagic.com/opentryouts. All required registration and release forms, along with a $175 non-refundable fee, must be completed in order to be considered. Payments may be made through credit card, cash, cashier's checks or money orders.
Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis and the number of participants are limited at each location. All participants must meet the NBA G League eligibility requirement. Walkup registration is subject to availability and a $200 non-refundable fee.
