Lake Monsters Game Rained Out at Tri-City

TROY, NY --- Tuesday night's New York-Penn League game between the Vermont Lake Monsters and Tri-City ValleyCats at Bruno Stadium was postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader when the Lake Monsters return to Tri-City on August 22nd and 23rd for what will now be a three-game series.

Vermont (5-6) will open a three-game series at the Hudson Valley Renegades on Wednesday night. The Lake Monsters will also play at Hudson Valley on Thursday and Friday before returning home to historic Centennial Field to face the Renegades Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Saturday will mark just the second time in Vermont's 16-year history that the Lake Monsters will host a game on the Fourth of July. First pitch is scheduled for a special start time of 4:05 pm and the first 500 fans will receive a Lake Monsters Barack Obama Bobblehead Doll. The series concludes on Monday with a special appearance by former Major League all-star Bill Buckner.
