THE SAN JOSE GIANTS... return home this evening to begin a three-game series against the Lake Elsinore Storm at Municipal Stadium. San Jose posted a 3-3 record on their recently completed road trip. After posting one victory in three games at Bakersfield, the Giants won two out of three in Stockton marking their first series victory of the second half. Last night, San Jose was unable to complete a sweep of the Ports as Stockton salvaged a game in the series with a 5-2 win. Grant Green hit a two-run homer while Stephen Parker added a three-run shot and the Ports held the Giants hitless over the last four innings to pick-up the win. Michael Ambort hit his first home run since joining the Giants and Johnny Monell collected a pair of doubles to lead the San Jose offensive attack. Oliver Odle suffered the loss after surrendering five runs on nine hits over five innings of work.
