
Lake County Runs Away with a 9-4 Victory Over Kenosha

Zion, IL -Lake County stormed out to a 5-0 lead through the first two innings Monday night and never looked back en route to a 9-4 victory over their border foes; the Kenosha County Fielders. The season series is even again at six wins a piece.
Lake County was led by outfielder and pitcher Chad Bisnette. Bisnette did it all Monday, hitting a 3-run bomb to left-center in the second inning; knocking in three runs. He ended the day going 2 for 3 with 4 RBI's and a stolen base. Bisnette threw a third of an inning with one strikeout in relief of starter Ryan Torrey.
Torrey went six and two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out five and walking one.
Kenosha County was led by catcher Matt Soderlund who went 2 for 4 with two singles, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Kenosha starter Andrew Paulauskas took the loss Monday, going six innings allowing five runs on ten hits.
The "Border Battle" series will break for an off day Tuesday and continue Wednesday evening at 7 pm for game 13 at Fielders Stadium in Zion, Illinois. It's country night at the ballpark so be sure to come out and be apart of the festive atmosphere. Tickets still remain for all games.
