
LAFC Ties Atlanta United FC 2 - 2 in Fourth Preseason Contest

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) tied Atlanta United FC 2 - 2 in a rainy Sunday afternoon preseason contest at Banc of California Stadium. Atlanta's Pity Martinez notched the first goal in the 18th minute, a screaming free kick from just outside the box. In the 29th minute, Josef Martinez fed Julian Gressel the ball for the second goal of the day, giving Atlanta a 2 - 0 lead at the half.
The Black & Gold would get on the scoresheet for the first time in the 58th minute with a clever touch by Adrien Perez. LAFC captain Carlos Vela tied the score late in the match, scoring an unassisted goal in the 82 minute.
Next up for LAFC is a meeting with the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, February 16 at 12:00 p.m. PT at Banc of California Stadium. The match is closed to the public but is open to media.
