Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) will play its final regular season home contest this Sunday, October 21 against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Banc of California Stadium. With two games left in the Club's inaugural campaign, the Black & Gold currently sit in third place in the Western Conference with a 16-8-8 (56 points) record - one point back from the top seed.
Sunday's match is slated for 2:00 p.m. PT and will be televised live on YouTube TV and UniMás 46, as well as over the airwaves on the ESPN app and 980 AM 'La Mera La Mera'.
Following a 4-2 victory over the Houston Dynamo on October 12, the Club tied the 1998 Chicago Fire for the most points by a team in Year One with 56. Earlier this month, LAFC became just the fifth MLS expansion team to clinch a playoff berth in its first season following a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids.
Immediately following the match, LAFC will be hosting a Black & Gold Playoff Rally presented by YouTube TV to celebrate the Club's playoff berth in its first campaign in MLS. Festivities will include appearances by players and Club officials, live entertainment, food trucks, a beer garden, corporate partner activities, and a special live performance by a musical guest.
